1. Membership Overview

Tatenhill Membership provides access to selected airfield, clubhouse, and member benefits.

Full Membership is required for all flight operations at Tatenhill Airfield, including training with our instructors, self-hiring an aircraft, and operating a hangared aircraft. Membership is personal and required by each individual, non-transferable, and subject to these Terms & Conditions.

Social Membership is intended for non-flying members and provides access to the clubhouse, invitations to social events and discounts at the cafe and shop, but does not include flying privileges, aircraft hire, or flight training. Social Membership is not a requirement to access the airfield or cafe – guests and passengers are all welcome at Tatenhill Airfield without a membership.

Membership does not guarantee aircraft availability, hangarage, fuel availability, or training capacity.

2. Who Can Be a Member

Membership is open to individuals aged 14 or over. Some activities (such as flying or self-hire) may have additional age, licence, medical, or experience requirements.

3. What Membership Includes

Membership benefits are dependent on the type of membership, as follows:

• Full Membership
• 3% Discounted fuel rates
• Unlimited Landings at Tatenhill
• Access to training and self-hire (subject to availability and eligibility)
• £1,000 insurance excess indemnity when flying Tatenhill aircraft
• Access to the Tatenhill Clubhouse
• Invitations to member events and activities
• Member-only offers in the cafe and shop
• Access to the online membership portal

4. What Membership Does Not Include

Unless explicitly stated in writing:

• Membership does not include hangarage.
• Membership does not guarantee hangar availability.
• Membership does not guarantee aircraft availability, instructor availability, or training slots.
• Membership does not include fuel as part of the fee.

Hangarage, aircraft hire, training, and other services are subject to separate agreements, pricing, and availability.

5. Conduct and Use of Facilities

Members are expected to:

• Act safely, respectfully, and responsibly at all times.
• Comply with all airfield rules, safety procedures and published operating requirements, including the Pilot’s Flying Order Book available here.
• Follow all reasonable instructions issued by airfield staff.
• Treat staff, other members, visitors, local residents, and neighbouring landowners with courtesy and respect.

Tatenhill reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, or in breach of these requirements.

6. Fees and Payments

• Membership fees are payable in advance.
• Fees are non-refundable.
• Tatenhill may review and update membership pricing each year prior to Feb 1st.

7. Membership Term and Renewal

• Membership runs from 1st February until 31st January each year.
• Renewal reminders will be issued before membership expires.
• Membership benefits end when membership expires.

8. Termination

Tatenhill reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if:

• These Terms & Conditions are breached.
• Behaviour is unsafe or inappropriate.

9. Changes to Membership Benefits

Tatenhill may update membership benefits, facilities, or access arrangements from time to time. Reasonable notice will be given where possible.

10. Data Protection & GDPR

• Personal data will be held securely and processed in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection legislation.
• Information will only be shared with third parties where there is a legitimate requirement, such as regulatory authorities or insurers.

11. Changes to These Terms

Tatenhill Airfield reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Members will be notified of any material changes.
